• 8 small grapefruits
  • 1 tapa de dulce (panela)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 grated lemon skin
  • 1 tsp. of baking soda
  • 200 g of sugar
  • Stuffing ingredients:
  • 400 g of powdered milk
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • Optional: You can add 100g of cashew seeds, peanuts or nuts


Peel the grapefruits and set aside the pulp for another recipe.

In a hot pot add the grapefruits and cook them with the baking soda to avoid the bitter taste.

When they are ready, wash them and leave them for one day. They have to be very dry.

Syrup for the grapefruits:

Melt the tapa de dulce with the cinnamon and the cloves. Then cook the grapefruits in the syrup. Add the grated lemon skin and cook on a slow heat.

Stuffing preparation:

Melt the butter with the condensed milk. Add the powdered milk. You can add the seeds.

Stir until you get a homogenous dough. Fill the grapefruits with this mix and finally, cover them with the sugar.
