COSTELATA DE PORCO COM ABACAXI (PORK CHOPS WITH PINEAPPLE)

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 pineapple
  • Juice of 1 lime (or lemon)
  • 1 tablespoon of cornflour
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • Bunch of watercress
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Some water

Preparation

Clean the pineapple and cut into slices, putting 4 slices aside.

Prepare the chops. Clean and dry them and put salt and pepper on.

Put the oil and the butter into a frying pan, when brown add the chops and fry for about 20 minutes.

When done arrange them on a hot serving dish and put aside.

Fry the 4 slices of pineapple in the same fat as the chops, about 1 minute on each side.

Arrange 1 slice on each of the chops.

Put the rest of the pineapple in a blender and blend.

Mix the blended pineapple with the lime (or lemon), the cornflour, the Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.

Add this mixture to the fat.

Add a little water and bring to the boil and pour over the chops.

Garnish with watercress and serve with white rice.
