Norman and Susan Westgate with daughters Marsha and Holly started Susie`s BBQ in 1997 at the Nevada State Barbecue Championship in Carson City, NV. , Coming in at 2nd place. Receiving great reviews. Norman and Susan took their barbecue to the public and started catering, fairs, air shows, Farmers markets, and car shows. In 2005 Susie`s BBQ will be back on the road and hope to win more competitions.Through the years Susie`s BBQ has progressed from a small backyard Brinkman cooker to the present an Old Hickory Pitt that can hold 800 lbs of meat in one cooking cycle.
